Celebrating New Zealand Sign Language
As part of NZ Sign Language Week, we’ve been exploring one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s beautiful official languages — New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL).
At Happy Days, we believe in embracing all languages, cultures and ways of communicating. So to mark this special week, our kaiako and tamariki learned something extra meaningful — a NZSL version of a Mother’s Day song!
We were so proud of how engaged the tamariki were, and even more proud to hear that some had been practicing their signs at home too.
He whetū koutou — you are all stars!
💛 Want to join in at home?
